Come celebrate the bounty of your community farms fields, through the ingenuity of many local farmers and the creativity of some fine local chefs. The Lohbrunner Community Farm Cooperative is inviting you to our interactive long table farm dining experience to celebrate our initiatives to secure farmland and uphold Norma Lohbrunner’s vision to hold this farm in trust for you and future generations. The story is long, with many like minded folks upholding her vision over the years. Most importantly though, the story begins with Norma’s foresight decades ago of the need to secure this viable piece of farmland for what it does best; grow a bounty of food! Through your participation in Soil to Soul you too can become part of this legacy while enjoying a fine feast harvested by you before feeding body and soul.
WHO WE ARE
Lohbrunner Community Farm is a 13-acre farm in Langford currently under trust with FarmFolk CityFolk and part of a new province wide initiative The Foodlands Cooperative of BC. The Lohbrunner Community Farm Cooperative holds a 29-year lease with the responsibility to steward this biodiverse organic farm while engaging the community in educational opportunities and supporting local food security. Local chefs are stepping up to support this initiative through sharing their expertise to create a sensational meal to feed both body and soul.
By joining us in our celebration you will support this initiative directly while enjoying all that this extended community and the farm has to offer. Funds raised will go directly to securing of the farm for future generations, build infrastructure to support more farmers, and help develop programs for the young and old to get their hands in the soil and do their part for food security.
